Missions Education

LifeCall Missions TM

LifeCall Missions enables missional churches to enlist, empower and engage members in ministry. Church members of all ages discover how their spiritual gifts, natural abilities and life experiences work together to prepare them to hear and respond to God’s call for their life in service and ministry. LifeCall Missions provides a wide variety of avenues for volunteer mission service, both long-term and short-term service opportunities.  There is no hourly requirement to serve through LifeCall Missions, with the exception of Mission Service Corps which requires a minimum of 20 hours per week for four months or longer.  Mission Service Corps is one component of LifeCall Missions. LifeCall Missions matches opportunities for missions and ministry with the discoveries made during an individual or group experience. The tools provided cover the basic information that will assist the mission volunteer in spiritual preparation for the ministry in which he or she will serve.

Vacation Bible School – Teach Your Children to Care About the Hungry

Teach your children about the Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger and the thousands of people it feeds around the world. Help the children to understand that many families are living because of the food that Texas Baptists are buying, from India to China, to Mexico and Texas.

Here are the easy steps:

  • Order rice bowl banks from the website or by phone to the BGCT toll-free 888-332-5870, asking for Christian Life Commission, or directly 214-828-5190.
  • Distribute them to children on your first day of VBS, instructing them to take them home and put money in them everyday for someone around the world who doesn't have enough to eat.
  • Plan an ingathering day, or evening with parents present, where the children bring their rice bowls back to the church.
  • Plan a mission time everyday and tell a World Hunger mission story...there are 6 of them with photos on the website.
  • Send the offering designated for World Hunger to BGCT/Christian Life Commission, 333 N. Washington, Dallas, TX 75246.

Royal Ambassadors

Royal Ambassadors , a Bible-centered, church-related, mission education organization for boys in first through sixth grades, involves boys and their leaders in the spiritual process of developing an "on-mission" lifestyle. Through activities that are designed to help children learn about missions and how they can be personally involved in practical missions experiences, Royal Ambassadors reaches boys for Christ and leads them to become ambassadors for Christ through commitments (developing biblical character) and virtues (living the on-mission lifestyle of the Royal Ambassador Pledge).
