Send your best and brightest youth to explore the intersection of faith and public service. The CLC Public Policy Institute offers a select and diverse group of high school students a unique opportunity to explore the interaction between faith and politics. For one week in July, students from across Texas will gather in Austin to meet with government officials, representatives of advocacy groups and Texas Baptist leaders regarding issues such as political campaigns, immigration, creation stewardship, religious liberty and poverty. The institute will allow students to discuss these important issues in a safe and nurturing environment, while building relationships with fellow Baptist youth and young adult mentors. Students will hear from a variety of speakers representing different viewpoints, and explore educational, mission, employment and internship opportunities. There will be plenty of traditional summer excitement, too – a movie night, a day at Barton Springs and other opportunities for fun and fellowship around Austin.
