To assist churches in developing a strategy of disciple-making to help their members become obedient, consistent and multiplying followers of Christ.

Operation Multiplication

Our Texas Hope 2010 commitment is to share the hope of Christ with every person in Texas within their own language and culture by Resurrection Sunday 2010. Our emphasis is on prayer and several strategies of evangelism, including a multimedia CD to be put in every home, that will result in thousands of people responding to the hope of Christ. Dr. Billie Hanks, Jr., and his International Evangelism Association team have committed to train leaders to follow up with these decisions. This initiative is called: Operation Multiplication.

Over 300 churches are being sought to serve a Lead Churches during this follow up process. Serving as an area Lead Church requires spiritual commitment to a unified vision. It also requires hosting four quarterly Saturday Lay Ministry Workshops on disciple-making for your area. Our Texas Hope 2010 goal for follow up is to equip over 100,000 lay leaders across the state of Texas to personally disciple all those who respond to the gospel during 2010 and beyond. [ More ]

Bible Drill

Children's and Youth Bible Drills will help the children in your congregation increase their knowledge of the Bible by memorizing key Scriptures, locate books of the Bible and key passages, learn how to apply the Bible to their lives, learn verses that are fundamental to understanding Baptist distinctives, and more.

Discipleship

There are six truths about biblical discipleship. Discipleship: is a process, is a cooperative effort, involves change, results in fruit, is normal and is relational. The BGCT staff will help you communicate these truths in your church.

Discipleship Making

Disciple making begins with your church witnessing to the lost and unsaved, continues with the encouragement to maturity of those who become disciples, and results in those disciples carrying out the command to make more disciples. Then it begins again. Disciple-making churches: make disciples as an act of obedience, are intentional about disciple making, have a strategy for disciple making and make disciple-making relevant. The BGCT staff will help you develop such a strategy in your church.
