Church2Church Partnerships

Each year, from the plains to the coast and from the forests to the hills, Texas is devastated by hurricanes, tornados, floods and fires. Often our Baptist family is dramatically affected by these events. In 2008, Hurricane Ike impacted hundreds of thousands in the coastal region of our state. Many months later, there are still churches and homes in need of repair and assistance.

Fortunatly, there are churches ready to meet needs and create Church2Church Partnerships. When churches that have disaster related needs partner with churches who want to help meet those needs, a partnership is formed. It may be a weekend partnership (short-term) or a partnership that last over several years (long-term).

Church2Church Partnerships benefit not only the church that needs help but also the helping church. The experience of providing assistant to sister churches and church members after a disaster is one that cannot be duplicated in any other setting.

The Register a Need link at right is designed to capture information so that churches can respond to churches, communities and individuals affected by disasters.
